The Il Canale Hotel is a traditional 3-storey property, which overlooks the Aposa torrent. This natural watercourse was once used to supply water to the city and its moat, but today flows through Bologna in an underground gallery, only intermittently visible. The hotel’s compact, narrow lobby is decorated in the “Liberty” style, with striped wallpaper, antique furniture and a dark wood reception desk. The spacious, carpeted guestrooms are richly appointed in peach, cream and pink tones, complemented by rich fabrics and elegant neo-classical furniture. All are clean and well equipped, as are the marble en suite bathrooms. The hotel offers a Continental style buffet every morning in its welcoming breakfast room, which features an exposed stone ceiling and tapestries. There's also a pleasant interior courtyard.
